IT Projects Officer
Job Purpose
The IT Projects Officer is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of technology projects. This includes managing project timelines, resources, and stakeholders to ensure that IT solutions are implemented on time, within budget, and in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Implementation
- Develop Project Roadmaps: Create detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for all IT initiatives, ensuring comprehensive documentation at every stage.
- System Deployment: Oversee the implementation of new insurance systems, digital platforms, API integrations, and operational processes.
- Configuration Management: Ensure all system configurations align with specific business needs, regulatory frameworks, and audit requirements.
- Data Integrity: Collaborate with technical teams to support data migration, validation, and testing for AAR insurance applications to ensure system accuracy.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between internal departments (Underwriting, Claims, Finance, IT, Compliance) and external partners to provide regular progress updates.
2. Risk Management & Business Continuity
- Data Safeguarding: Monitor system data backups and perform regular restoration tests to guarantee data recoverability.
- Continuity Planning: Develop and maintain robust Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for all critical IT systems to minimize operational downtime.
3. Quality Assurance (QA) & Testing
- System Validation: Conduct rigorous system testing and quality reviews (including system developments, upgrades, and API testing).
- Standard Compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet defined technical and functional standards in collaboration with end-users.
4. Audit, Documentation & Compliance
- Audit Resolution: Actively follow up with the ICT team to address and close all internal and external ICT audit findings.
- Process Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive ICT documentation, including policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), user manuals, and responsibility matrixes.
5. Training & Capacity Building
- Knowledge Programs: Organize and facilitate ICT training sessions covering Cybersecurity, system usage, and Risk & Compliance.
- Knowledge Transfer: Support post-implementation user support and ensure a smooth transition of knowledge from the project phase to daily operations.
6. Post-Implementation Evaluation
- Performance Review: Evaluate project outcomes against original goals and gather structured feedback from users.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend technical and process enhancements for future projects to boost overall operational efficiency.
Level of Education, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Computing, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional), certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT project coordination or systems implementation.
- Proven experience in the insurance or financial services sector (specifically with Core Insurance Systems or ERPs) is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and IT infrastructure.
- Exceptional multitasking and time-management skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor performance
