AAR launched the AAR Medcare Hospital Cash product on April 25th, 2022, along Nkrumah Road in Kampala. The public was welcome to participate in this activity.
AAR set up a shop as part of a series of activities to offer customers affordable insurance as low as Ugx 25,000 as an annual premium for one of the packages to a maximum of 10 days in case of admission. The insurance package is intended to serve as a subsidy for incidental expenses incurred by individuals during hospitalization.
Interested participants had the opportunity to freely test for various chronic conditions such as HIV, high blood pressure, and blood sugar levels during the activation camp. Furthermore, all participants received all necessary product information.
Amongst the many insurance plans offered by AAR, it is worth noting that AAR Medcare Hospital Cash comes to cater to a specific demographic, in this case being the “omuntuwawansi” as it provides niche solutions to their needs.
The need for insurance in Uganda is fast-growing and people are realizing that efficient health care is no longer a luxury, but a necessity that can be tailored to their personal needs to better their wellbeing.
